Find fitting and use instructions for your Mambobaby float or head guard, including important checks before each use.
Check your child’s age, weight, body measurements, ability and actual fit together. Always follow the complete fitting checks and instructions supplied with your specific style.
These instructions cover U.S. versions. Follow the diagrams supplied with your product for assembly, unfolding, folding and mode changes.
Stay close throughout water use. An adult must provide continuous, attentive supervision within arm’s reach. These floats are not lifesaving devices and cannot prevent drowning.
1. Chest Float
Check the permitted position
| Position | Reference age | Weight | Body chest circumference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tummy floating | 3–24 months | 6–18 kg | 42–56 cm |
| Back floating — permitted styles only | 3–6 months | 6–8 kg | 42–56 cm |
Your child must meet all requirements and fit the specific style correctly. Do not apply the tummy-floating limits to back floating.
Go, Classic, Deluxe and Ultra describe configurations, not age stages. Permitted positions and additional functions vary by style.
Prepare a PearlCore air-free float
- Remove all packaging. Inspect the surface, straps, buckles and connecting parts.
- Check for damage, loose parts or noticeable deformation.
- For foldable styles, fully unfold the product as shown in its instructions and secure every connection.
- PearlCore air-free styles do not require opening an air valve or adding air.
- Readjust the harness for your baby’s current body size each time.
Fit on land, then enter the water
- Fit the float on land. Adjust the shoulder, chest and crotch straps, and fasten every buckle.
- Complete all fitting checks supplied with your style. The harness should be snug without restricting breathing or normal movement.
- Check that your baby cannot slide noticeably within the harness.
- Support the float from underneath. Hold your baby and the float securely together, then lower them slowly into the water.
- Never lift or carry your baby using only the shoulder straps, canopy or headrest.
- Stay within arm’s reach. Do not loosen or unfasten the harness in the water.
Check foot placement
| Position | Foot placement |
|---|---|
| Tummy floating | Both feet must remain below the footrest. |
| Permitted back floating: body length up to 70 cm | Both feet may rest on the footrest. |
| Permitted back floating: body length over 70 cm | Both feet must remain below the footrest. |
Foot-placement guidance does not extend the permitted age or weight range for back floating.
Standing mode: designated styles only
Designated styles within the 2027 Blue Rocket, Lucky Aviator and airplane chest-float designs support standing mode:
- Reference age: 12–48 months.
- Weight: 6–18 kg.
- Body chest circumference: 42–56 cm.
- All shoulder, chest and crotch straps must be fastened.
- Change modes on land only.
Standing mode is not available across the entire range. Check that your purchased style supports it and follow its conversion instructions and diagrams.
Important use limits
- Use only in calm, shallow water where the supervising adult can stand safely.
- Do not use for sleep, boating or open water.
- Stop use and remove your baby from the water if they become sleepy or uncomfortable, or if the harness becomes loose or damaged.
- A canopy does not replace other appropriate sun-protection measures.
- ZeroG40: the approximately 30°–40° angle describes the angle between the baby’s torso lengthwise axis and the horizontal water surface. It varies with the baby’s weight and water support; it is not a fixed 40° angle or an on-land position.
2. Go Foldable PearlCore
These folding instructions apply to Foldable PearlCore only, not PackRise. An adult must unfold and fold the product on land, with the child out of the float.
Unfold before use
- Fully unfold the body as shown in the supplied diagrams and straighten the straps.
- Close the securing zipper beneath the head area fully to the illustrated endpoint. Keep fabric and webbing clear of the zipper.
- Align the headrest, secure the hook-and-loop fastening, and close both side snaps.
- Check that the zipper is fully closed and the headrest and footrest are firmly secured.
- Follow the Chest Float fitting steps and the complete fitting checks supplied with your style.
Do not use the float if any part cannot be secured.
Fold after use
- Support your baby and the float together when leaving the water. Remove your baby on land.
- Clean according to the product instructions and allow every part to dry completely in a shaded, ventilated place.
- Undo both headrest snaps, gently separate the hook-and-loop fastening, and remove the whole headrest.
- Fully open the securing zipper beneath the head area as illustrated.
- Fold only at the designated points. Arrange the straps and accessories before storing.
- Do not forcefully bend or compress the buoyancy core.
Removing the whole headrest for folding does not mean it may be dismantled for washing or soaking. Follow the diagrams supplied with your style.
3. Go PackRise Self-Inflating Float
After first opening or extended compression
- Fully unfold the product in advance.
- Open the air valve and allow the core to recover fully.
- If recovery is insufficient, only an adult may add air by mouth through the valve.
- Do not use any pump, including manual, electric or high-pressure pumps.
- Once the core has fully recovered, close the valve according to your style’s instructions.
- Inspect the outer layer, valve and harness before use.
Before every subsequent use
Unfold the float, open the valve for recovery, and inspect the outer layer, valve and harness. Preparation time varies with storage and compression.
Use only after full recovery, correct valve closure and completed checks. Do not use if recovery remains insufficient or anything appears abnormal.
Follow your style’s complete instructions for fitting, water entry, permitted positions and use limits.
4. Shoulder Float
| Reference age | Weight | Body chest circumference |
|---|---|---|
| 4 months–6 years | 6–30 kg / 13–66 lb | 60–65 cm |
Your child must sit independently, maintain stable control of their head, neck and torso, and cooperate with fitting and adjustment. Reaching the minimum age alone does not establish suitability.
Fit and use
- Put on and remove the float on land only.
- Adjust and fasten the crotch strap and other straps.
- Check that the underarm support is correctly positioned and snug without being tight.
- Complete all fitting checks supplied with your purchased style.
- An adult must support the child when entering the water.
- Maintain continuous, attentive supervision within arm’s reach.
- Do not loosen straps or open buckles in the water.
Important use limits
- Use only in calm, shallow water where the supervising adult can stand safely.
- Do not use for sleep or in open water.
- Check the float, straps and buckles before use. Stop use if damaged or not working correctly.
- Not a lifesaving device; cannot prevent drowning.
5. Seat Float
| Reference age | Weight | Maximum waist | Maximum thigh circumference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4–18 months | Strictly under 11 kg | 56 cm | 30 cm |
All requirements must be met. Check the actual fit of the seat and leg openings using your style’s instructions.
Fit and use
- Position your child in the float on land.
- Check the seat, leg openings and connecting parts.
- An adult must support the child when entering the water.
- Keep the child’s mouth and nose above water at all times.
- Maintain continuous, close supervision within arm’s reach.
Important use limits
- Do not allow your child to stand on the float, climb on it or climb over its edges.
- Use only in calm, shallow water where the supervising adult can stand safely.
- Do not use for sleep, boating or open water.
- Stop use if any part is damaged, loose or abnormal.
- Not a lifesaving device; cannot prevent drowning.
6. Arm Float
- Reference age: 3–8 years.
- Weight: 15–30 kg.
- Maximum body chest circumference: approximately 70 cm.
- Maximum upper-arm circumference: approximately 23 cm.
All three configurations share the same weight range. Choose according to water ability and actual fit, not age alone. Maximum measurements do not replace a fitting check.
| Configuration | Use and ability requirements |
|---|---|
| Full set | Correctly wear both arm floats and the front chest float. This provides the most support of the three configurations and is intended for beginners or children needing more support. Close adult supervision is still required. |
| Arm floats only | For light practice and water play in shallow water. Not suitable for non-swimmers. Wear on the upper arms only, never the forearms or legs. Keep the child’s head above water. |
| Back-worn mode | Requires basic water-control skills and is not suitable for beginners or non-swimmers. A kickboard is required. Use only in calm, shallow water where the child can stand. |
Fitting and supervision
- Follow the complete fitting instructions for the selected configuration.
- Check seams, straps and buckles. Adjust for a snug fit without tightness.
- An adult must remain within arm’s reach.
- Do not allow the child to remove the arm floats or operate buckles in the water.
- Using back-worn mode without a kickboard may cause forward tipping and drowning. Stop immediately if the child loses balance or becomes uncomfortable.
- Not a life jacket. Do not use for boating, open water or water slides.
7. Swim Vest
| Size | Reference age | Weight | Child’s body chest circumference |
|---|---|---|---|
| M | 4–5 years | 15–20 kg | 52–58 cm |
| L | 5–6 years | 20–25 kg | 54–62 cm |
| XL | 6–8 years | 25–30 kg | 58–66 cm |
Measure the child’s actual chest without adding extra room. Check weight and actual fit together. The vest’s internal chest measurement is not the child’s body chest range.
Fit before use
- Inspect the buoyancy inserts, pockets, buckles, straps and seams.
- Check that the inserts are positioned correctly and close the pockets.
- Close the zipper, then fasten and adjust the crotch strap.
- Complete the supplied fitting checks. The vest must not restrict breathing or normal movement.
- Maintain continuous adult supervision within arm’s reach.
Removable buoyancy inserts
- Each vest has eight removable buoyancy inserts.
- Do not calculate how many to remove based on age or weight.
- Removed inserts are not toys. Keep them away from young children.
- With all inserts removed, the vest may only be used as a warmth and sun-cover vest as instructed. It is no longer a buoyancy aid.
Stop use immediately if the vest rides up, shifts out of position, or the child’s mouth or nose goes underwater. This is not a lifesaving device and cannot prevent drowning.
8. Mambobaby Head Guard
| Reference age | Head circumference | Fit basis |
|---|---|---|
| 6–24 months | 44–53 cm | Actual head measurement and fit. Weight and chest measurements are not sizing criteria. |
Fit and use
- Adjust according to your child’s actual head size and the supplied instructions.
- Check for a comfortable fit and a clear field of vision.
- Check that normal movement is not restricted.
- Use only during everyday activities while your child is awake and closely supervised by an adult.
- Remove the guard if your child resists wearing it, becomes hot or appears uncomfortable.
- Do not encourage deliberate falls or risky activities because the child is wearing a guard.
Checks and use limits
- Inspect all parts before every use.
- Stop use if torn, damaged, deformed or excessively worn.
- Do not modify the guard, remove parts or add accessories.
- It may cushion minor bumps but cannot prevent all injuries.
- It does not replace adult supervision or a safe activity environment.
- Do not use during sleep, climbing, or activities involving entanglement or entrapment risks.
- It is not a sports helmet. Do not use for cycling, skating, scootering, skateboarding or other sports.
