A yellow octopus plush wearing a shark-themed Mambobaby Head Guard, perched on a Mambobaby Rider with one tentacle draped over the handle.

As Mambobaby prepares to welcome visitors to Kind + Jugend in Cologne, an unexpected travel companion has taken its place on the stand.

A Simple Idea

The display began with a simple idea.

Mambobaby's founder purchased the octopus plush from IKEA and paired it with two products at the booth.

Soft yellow tentacles, a blue shark design and a muted green-gray Rider turned a product arrangement into a small scene with a story.

Children See What Adults Miss

For parents, that kind of imagination is familiar.

A stuffed animal becomes a travel companion. A chair becomes a vehicle.

Children find possibilities in ordinary objects that adults may never have planned.

Mambobaby wants to leave room for that perspective in its design conversations.

A Trade Show Can Make Space for Curiosity

A trade show is a place to discuss construction, materials and instructions.

It can also make space for curiosity.

A playful design can start the conversation. Then come the questions that matter at home:

• What activity is this product intended for?

• How should it be used?

• And how does the child respond to it?

Two Product Stories, One Frame

The octopus display brings two distinct product stories into one frame.

The shark-themed Mambobaby Head Guard introduces an animal-inspired design.

The Rider opens a conversation about family travel.

Their arrangement on a plush toy is an imaginative display; parents should consult each product's own fit requirements and instructions when considering actual use.
